UPDATE: California Can Order Ammo Online Again, No Background Checks!

INFORMATION UPDATE

In a disheartening twist of events, on February 5, 2024, the 9th Circuit Court ruled that Californians' constitutional rights to access ammunition stand forfeited, issuing a stay on the esteemed Judge Benitez's decision rendered on January 31, 2024.

Despite this setback, the battle is far from concluded. Ammunition Depot remains steadfast in its commitment to collaborate with the California Rifle & Pistol Association, tirelessly advocating for the preservation of Californians' Second Amendment rights.

As of the current moment, the stay imposed by the 9th Circuit Court on Judge Benitez's decision is immediate, providing no elucidation on the reasoning behind this action.

In the absence of a comprehensive explanation, the uncertainty surrounding the situation only adds to the gravity of the circumstances.

Rest assured, Ammunition Depot is dedicated to monitoring and actively participating in the ongoing developments of this legal saga. We are resolute in our pledge to keep the public informed, providing timely updates as the situation unfolds.

The fight for safeguarding constitutional rights continues, and we remain unwavering in our commitment to the cause.

If you wish to purchase ammunition online, all orders must be shipped to registered FFLs, and we will need a copy of their FFL on file.

Please have it emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 561-431-3963

California Gun Owners!

A decision that directly affects your ability to order ammunition to your homes is here! Ammunition Depot is very proud to be directly involved in this effort as a plaintiff in the lawsuit against California.

The Honorable Judge Roger T. Benitez has made his decision known, and we are celebrating a favorable outcome for all our friends and customers in California.

Since the decision has gone our way, Californians are now able to shop online for ammunition like the rest of FREE AMERICA and have it shipped to their homes instead of the local gunshop or FFL for transfer.

For many, many years now, California and other states have restricted the purchase of ammunition online, preventing Americans from having it delivered to their door and forcing them to go to stores to transfer ammunition the way firearms are transferred.

This process was debilitating, slow, and tedious compared to shopping online and having your ammo shipment delivered directly to your door. Now, California has the same freedom and convenience that the rest of free America enjoys!

Take advantage of this opportunity, as this is not set in stone! Make your purchase today, right now, and get ahead of the rush! Shipment will be delivered directly to your door.

In April 2020, when Judge Benitez announced his ruling that allowed the online purchase and home delivery of ammunition products in CA, the window of opportunity closed within two days!

Do not wait; we may see a similarly short timeline that stops California-bound orders placed just 48 hours from now!

We hope that our friends and customers in CA can enjoy online ammo purchasing freedoms for years to come, of course, but there are powerful forces that can overturn the good Judge Benitez’s decision quickly.

Celebrate your Second Amendment rights, California! Purchase your training and defensive ammunition from the convenience of your couch, and expect delivery to your doorstep!

Ammunition Depot has fought this battle for California alongside trusted industry partners for years and is incredibly proud to see the result today.

That’s awesome I am happy for all the good law abiding citizens who deserve this and the constitutional rights . Way to go Ammunition Depot! I hope this happens for the state of New York soon we are not allowed to order from online anymore ans get in delivered straight to our place of residence. They changed that law the sitting governor about a year or so ago unfortunately.

Hello, This is great news. I tried ordering ammo from your company as was told no (in CA) however, I maintain an FFL 03 and a CA Certificate of Eligibiltiy, which allows me to order and receive ammo to my home. While this works its way through the courts, here, is that something Ammunition Depot is willing to re-visit?

The law was never legal to begin with and should have been ignored by everyone from the start. We're WAY past the point of mass non-compliance being warranted & justified. Brave vendors that rightfully didn't comply were rewarded with new business from vendors that did comply, and now the latter is trying to get those customers back from the prior...

What about New York, we should be next. It is ridiculous that we can ‘t have the convenience of having ammo shipped to our homes when all that ammo is documented to the buyer.

Oh boy…like great tyrants of old Newsom and his demoncrat heavy government are doing their very best ( with our taxes) to continually deprive us of our 2A rights. Got to love the folk who time and time again vote to have the government boot on our necks and restrict our God given right to protect ourselves, loved ones, friends, etc. The police can’t and or won’t protect you. It’s up to each individual to be responsible for their own safety, their community, and the safety of the people important to them. So, why is defending one’s self such an anathema to the ruling powers? Well, because an unarmed population is far more easy to dominate and enslave. Britain

I have always wondered why online ammo sellers….such as Ammo Depot….have not contacted/contracted with/or otherwise set up pre-designated FFL holders who are willing to do transfers ….perhaps for a reduced fee which they could make up in bulk. In other words…in Ammo Depot had an FFL in downtown Los Angeles….or wherever….such that when we ordered….we knew exactly where we would pick it up from….and we didn’t have to call FFL after FFL begging them to do an Ammo transfer….Ammo Depot would see a surge in orders from Calif….the FFL could probably build a business….or at least supplement a business….by receiving and transferring the Ammo….even with the fee…most would order enough that it would still save CA shooters money….Ammo Depot sells more….and the FFL makes money…..even if the fee was 50$…..at 20 orders a day….the FFL WOULD make 1000$ a day….right? Anybody know why this has not happened? Thank you in advance.
