SHOT Show History

The SHOT Show, which is an acronym for "Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show," is an American annual trade show for the shooting sports, hunting, outdoor recreation, and firearm manufacturing industries.

SHOT Show is owned and sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) and is the biggest event of the type in the world.

The SHOT Show is restricted to formal members of the shooting, hunting, military, and outdoor trade industries, including commercial buyers and sellers of military, law enforcement, and tactical products, and is not open to the general public.

SHOT Show History

SHOT Show has a long history dating back to 1979, when it was first held in St. Louis, Missouri.

Over the years, the SHOT Show has grown in size and popularity, and it is now considered one of the world's largest trade shows of its kind.

The show was initially created for the firearms industry to come together and showcase the latest products and services, providing educational and networking opportunities for industry professionals.

Over the years, SHOT Show events have been held in cities like Orlando, Florida, and New Orleans, Louisiana. Today, the event is primarily held in Las Vegas at the Sands Expo and is contracted to remain there through 2027.

In terms of popularity, SHOT Show is among the top 25 trade shows in the U.S., and recent events have attracted over 60,000 attendees to its 630,000 square feet (59,000 m2) of exhibition space in Las Vegas.

SHOT Show 2023

The 45th Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show 2023) will take place January 17 - 20, 2023 at the Venetian Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, with expansion into the new Caesars Forum.

This year, in what should be a welcomed addition, the 2023 SHOT Show venue has added even more exhibit space bringing the total to over 800,000 net square feet!

This presents a perfect opportunity for more companies to showcase their products to industry buyers and firearm enthusiasts worldwide.

I'm interested in AR15 rifles in 6mm ARC and 224 Valkyrie along with same ammo. Seems like all rifles now in 556 or 6.5 Creed, I have them, want others.

I appreciate all AD does. Not only do you offer excellent prices, you have great customer service. I have been buying from y’all for years and have recommended others to buy from y’all as well. Thanks for keeping us up to date on shot show. I wish I was able to go, but never am. Maybe one day! Thanks again.

Thanks Mitch! I shared your comment with the customer service team. If you get yourself involved in the industry in some capacity, you can get to SHOT Show!
