Today marks a significant moment for America’s constitutional rights.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit has ruled in our favor, striking down California’s restrictive ammunition laws as unconstitutional.
What Does This Mean Right Now?
At the moment, it is unclear whether California’s restrictions remain in place.
Ammunition Depot will provide updates as soon as that is known, and is hopeful that California residents will once again be able to purchase ammunition without unnecessary restrictions.
A message from Dan Wolgin, CEO of Ammunition Depot
“Today’s ruling is a tremendous victory, but we want our customers to know that we must wait for the final legal steps before this decision goes into effect. We’ll keep everyone updated as this process unfolds.”
This decision is still a powerful reminder that when we stand together, we can protect the rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
California Ninth Circuit Victory UPDATE
Although we won a major victory in the Ninth Circuit, the California Attorney General has requested an en banc review, which means the ruling is paused.
What this means:
- Current restrictions on ammo sales in California remain in place.
- We cannot yet ship ammo directly to California homes.
- We’re monitoring the case and will update customers as soon as changes occur
