About Harris Engineering

Harris Engineering, Inc. was founded on July 11, 1979, by Gerald "Jerry" Harris, Margaret Harris, and Susan Wilkerson in Barlow, Kentucky.

The inspiration for Harris Bipods came from Jerry's early hunting experiences when he and friends would forget their shooting sticks while hunting crows and varmints.

Jerry began manufacturing bipods in Detroit, Michigan in 1965, then moved operations to his hometown of Barlow, Kentucky in 1975, where the company remains today.

Harris Engineering revolutionized shooting stability and precision with their innovative bipod design, becoming one of the first companies to manufacture commercially successful bipods.

For nearly 60 years, the company has continuously refined their designs while maintaining proud American manufacturing and offering an industry-leading lifetime warranty.
