Federal Premium Gold Medal cartridges are used by Olympic gold medalists during competition, and will serve you well as a target shooting round in competition or training. These rounds utalize the greatest components Fedral has access to, including their best new brass casings, match-grade primers, and consistent propellants. Match-grade wadcutters are used in these specific 45 ACP rounds which are ideal for target shooting, as the flat front of the projectile punches a clean hole in the target, followed by the shoulder of the bullet expanding the hole. The result is that the target has a clearly visible hit marker that the shooter can see from their position. Wadcutters are better suited to target shooting as traditional rounded "ball" projectiles (FMJ rounds) strike the target and push/rip through it, oftentimes not leaving the most clear hole in the paper due to their rounded profile.
