Connecticut Valley Arms (CVA) was founded in 1971, beginning with traditional side-lock muzzleloading rifles and build-it-yourself rifle kits.
The company evolved from manufacturing traditional muzzleloaders to becoming America's pioneer in modern in-line muzzleloader technology.
In 1999, Blackpowder Products, Inc. acquired CVA's assets and relocated operations to Duluth, Georgia, with manufacturing taking place at a state-of-the-art facility in Bergara, Spain.
