Steiner Optics Binoculars and Riflescopes
About Steiner Optics
Steiner Optics has been a worldwide optical icon for over 75 years, setting the bar in premium long-range optics since 1947.
Karl Steiner founded the company in Bayreuth, Germany, in the aftermath of World War II with an obsession for creating optical products "so functional, sturdy and uniformly flawless that nothing in the chaotic, mass-production post-war world could compare."
The company grew from a one-man workshop to a 50-man factory within six years, shifting focus from cameras to binocular production in 1955.
Steiner has been responsible for numerous industry firsts including the first nitrogen-filled binoculars in 1973, first integrated compass binoculars in 1979, and first Nano-Protection coating in 2006.
Today, owned by Beretta Holding Company since 2008, Steiner continues producing 200,000 to 250,000 binoculars annually with 80% exported globally, while expanding into riflescopes and electronic optics.
