About Ed Brown Products
Ed Brown Products has been crafting premium custom firearms since 1968, when founder William Edward "Ed" Brown began gunsmithing part-time while working as a tool and die maker.
The company was founded in Perry, Missouri, and incorporated as Ed Brown Products, Inc. in 1992 after Ed Brown achieved recognition as "Pistolsmith of the Year" in 1991.
In 1998, sons Travis and Wade Brown joined the business full-time, establishing a new direction toward complete firearms manufacturing with complete vertical integration.
Ed Brown revolutionized the 1911 market by creating the trademarked Bobtail design, Snakeskin metal treatment, and establishing new standards for custom 1911 manufacturing that have been widely copied throughout the industry.
Today, the family-owned company continues Ed Brown's legacy of precision craftsmanship from their state-of-the-art 10,000+ square foot manufacturing facility, offering the only written lifetime warranty in the custom gun industry.
