Ed Brown Products has been crafting premium custom firearms since 1968, when founder William Edward "Ed" Brown began gunsmithing part-time while working as a tool and die maker.

The company was founded in Perry, Missouri, and incorporated as Ed Brown Products, Inc. in 1992 after Ed Brown achieved recognition as "Pistolsmith of the Year" in 1991.

In 1998, sons Travis and Wade Brown joined the business full-time, establishing a new direction toward complete firearms manufacturing with complete vertical integration.
