About Lyman Products

Lyman Products Corporation has been serving the shooting sports community since 1878, making it one of the oldest companies in the firearms industry.

The company was founded by William Lyman in Middlefield, Connecticut, with his innovative No. 1 Tang Sight as the first product.

In 1925, Lyman acquired the IDEAL Loading Tool Company, officially entering the reloading equipment market that would become their primary focus.

The modern Lyman Products Corporation was established in 1978 when private investors led by James F. "Mace" Thompson acquired the company and returned its headquarters to Middletown, Connecticut.

Today, Lyman continues to manufacture high-quality reloading equipment, black powder firearms, and shooting accessories in their 100,000 square foot facility in Connecticut.
