About HEXMAG

HEXMAG was founded in 2013 in Loveland, Colorado by Aaron Schefter and George Brown with the goal of creating better AR magazines than what was available on the market.

The company began as a prototyping exercise in 3-D design and printing, experimenting with mold configurations and polymer compounds.

HEXMAG sold their first-generation 30-round magazines in March 2014, quickly establishing themselves as a serious competitor in the polymer magazine market.

The company has changed ownership twice, first being acquired by SENTRY Products Group in 2017, then by Optimus Arms in 2024.
