About Case Knives

W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has been crafting premium American knives since 1889, representing over 135 years of cutlery excellence.

The company was founded by four enterprising brothers—William Russell (W.R.), Jean, John, and Andrew Case—who began selling handcrafted knives from the back of a wagon in upstate New York.

In 1905, the company relocated to Bradford, Pennsylvania, where it continues to handcraft knives today using traditional methods passed down through generations.

Case knives have earned their place in American history, carried in every major U.S. war effort and even aboard Apollo 11 when mankind first walked on the moon.

Today, owned by Zippo Manufacturing Company, Case remains committed to producing authentic American-made cutlery that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation.
