Blue Force Gear was founded in January 2004 by Ashley Burnsed, a Savannah, Georgia native, in his home's bonus room.

Burnsed started the company with just a sewing machine nicknamed "Old Betsy" and five employees, driven by his lifelong passion for military gear that began in his Boy Scout days.

The company evolved from those humble beginnings to become a major tactical equipment manufacturer operating from a 27,000 square foot headquarters and manufacturing facility in Pooler, Georgia.
