AMTAC Suppressors
About AMTAC Suppressors
AMTAC Suppressors was founded in 2009 by Anthony Barney after he purchased his first personal suppressor and was disappointed with its performance.
With his expertise in firearms engineering and manufacturing, Barney knew he could create a better product and set out designing revolutionary suppressor solutions.
The company evolved from Advance Manufacturing Technology (AMT), which has been a leader in precision manufacturing for over 35 years, serving customers including the Department of Defense, SpaceX, and Northrop Grumman.
AMTAC revolutionized the suppressor industry with their over-barrel technology that significantly reduces added length to firearms while maintaining excellent sound suppression.
Today, AMTAC continues to manufacture suppressors to military specifications using aerospace-grade precision in their ISO 9001:2003 certified facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Popular AMTAC Suppressor Features
Over-Barrel Design
- Adds only 3.7 inches to rifle length compared to traditional suppressors that add 6-9+ inches, dramatically improving maneuverability.
Single-Piece uniBaffle Technology
- Entire baffle structure is machined from a single piece of aerospace-grade 17-4 PH stainless steel, eliminating welding points that can fail.
Aerospace-Grade Manufacturing
- Built in a Department of Defense ITAR certified facility using state-of-the-art CNC technology and ISO 9001:2003 certified processes.
Improved Weight Distribution
- Places suppressor weight closer to the rifle's center of gravity, reducing swing weight and shooter fatigue during extended use.
Enhanced Accuracy Performance
- Reduces muzzle velocity standard deviation by up to 20% while adding bullet velocity through the suppression process.
Consistent Return to Zero
- Provides extremely tight concentricity and maintains point of impact when removed and re-attached to the firearm.
