About AMTAC Suppressors

AMTAC Suppressors was founded in 2009 by Anthony Barney after he purchased his first personal suppressor and was disappointed with its performance.

With his expertise in firearms engineering and manufacturing, Barney knew he could create a better product and set out designing revolutionary suppressor solutions.

The company evolved from Advance Manufacturing Technology (AMT), which has been a leader in precision manufacturing for over 35 years, serving customers including the Department of Defense, SpaceX, and Northrop Grumman.

AMTAC revolutionized the suppressor industry with their over-barrel technology that significantly reduces added length to firearms while maintaining excellent sound suppression.

Today, AMTAC continues to manufacture suppressors to military specifications using aerospace-grade precision in their ISO 9001:2003 certified facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
