With comparable velocity to an FN 5.7x28mm, the Liberty Civil Defense ammo is a 60 grain, lead-free, monolithic hollow point round that generates muzzle velocity of greater than 2000 feet per second for your .40 cal handgun.
This round has significantly increased accuracy and penetration with reduced recoil vs traditional .40 hollow point ammunition.
This round has unparalleled stopping power and terminal effects.
Liberty Civil Defense ammunition is designed to:
- Create massive wound cavities while not over-penetrating
- Do well against hard barriers while still expanding in soft or liquid targets
- Facilitate concealed-carry with lightweight cartridges

Exceptional Self-Defense Ammo
I have used Liberty since it first came out as 9mm only. At that time the recoil was about the same as a .380. I now use a .40 and the recoil is less than a 165 grain HP 9mm from Hornady and others, and the return to target is very quick. When you consider a .60 grain round with a 3 to 3 and 1/2 inch wound cavity at 8 to 10 inches of penetration through all standard FBI test standards what more could you want.
