The Ed Brown 8-Pack is almost the exact same as the tried-and-true original 7 round 1911 magazine, with the additional space for another cartridge.

-Stainless steel body

-Heavy-duty spring

-Rugged integral basepad, which features a blank  number template that allows you to mark your magazines numerically from 0 to 99.

The base can be removed for cleaning and maintenance, but cleanings are less necessary due to the special low-friction finish on the whole magazine that reduces the buildup of dirt and burnt powder. The low friction finish allows the magazine to slide into the gun easier, as well as allowing bullets to be loaded into the magazine with less hassle. 

Very clearly laser etched numbers on both sides of the magazine help to quickly see how many rounds you have in a magazine.
