Winchester 38 Special 130 Grain FMJ Target Ammo (100 Rounds)

When we "train the way we'll fight" we keep as many of the variables consistent and build muscle memory. That is equally true when choosing training ammunition. The goal is to have the same "feel" and POA/POI (point of aim/ point of impact) while training as in "the moment". I choose the "Winchester", 130 grain FMJ to stand in for the "Winchester" Ranger 130 grain JHP I use as EDC (every day carry) when I carry my Second series, Colt, Detective Special chambered in .38 Special. I have found them to "feel" very similar and more importantly, strike at the same "point of aim". This allows my to trust my muscle memory I've developed while training and never have to "over think" or "compensate" for my carry ammo that behaves differently then my training ammunition. That way, I train the way I'll fight and have a much better chance to prevail in a lethal encounter and go home to, or protect, those I love. After all, isn't that the whole idea?
