Hydra-Shok rounds by Federal are unique defensive hollow-point rounds that feature a center-post inside the hollow point. The center post helps encourage the expansion of the hollow point round, and helps quickly transfer energy into the target. The overall idea is to create more consistent knockdown power and consistent expansion from shot to shot. Federal uses their dependable primers and propellants, and brand new and reloadable brass cases to build these defensive hollow-point Hydra-Shok rounds.
