Good Training Rounds
I like these "American Eagle", 165gr, FMJ-FN rounds for training at the range. They provide my with the same recoil feedback and POA/POI (point of aim/ point of impact). They are a very good stand in for the 165 grain JHP (jacketed hollow points) I carry for defence. As most of us understand, it is important to find a quality training round that can act as an inexpensive analog for the rounds we carry in our defensive sidearms. That means, of course, that we must first shoot the defensive rounds to make sure they function in our specific firearm and we have a "feel" for them and we are happy with the accuracy POA/POI. THEN, we go hunting for a training round, of similar weight and accuracy, that gives us the same "feel" (recoil feedback) as the defensive round. In my case, my Smith & Wesson, model 4006 likes "Winchester" and "Federal" ammunition. The added bonus of the rebate program and the fast and accurate service of our friends at "AmmoDepot" and it adds up to a good training round at a great price from a company I trust!
