At the heart of every XPR rifle lies Winchester's M.O.A. Trigger System. The trigger housing and all internal components are constructed from polished and hardened carbon steel with a blued finish, ensuring added durability and corrosion resistance. The two-position safety is conveniently operated with the thumb of the firing hand, while the bolt release button allows the action to cycle unfired cartridges with the safety on. The cocking indicator on the bolt shroud provides both a tactile and visual reference of the rifle's cocked or uncocked condition.

Crafted from chromoly steel barstock, the robust XPR bolt is through-hardened during heat treatment and features three front locking lugs with a short 60-degree lift for improved scope clearance. A tough nickel Teflon coating ensures smooth operation and added corrosion resistance. The one-piece trigger guard and magazine frame design offers a generous guard opening for use with gloves. The chromoly steel barrel is precisely button-rifled for outstanding accuracy with a variety of bullet weights and types, and the free-floating design eliminates accuracy-robbing pressure points. Additional features include a drilled and tapped chromoly steel receiver, synthetic stock with an Inflex Technology recoil pad, and a detachable single stack box magazine.
