Product Details

After Taurus purchased the Beretta factory in Brazil in 1980, the Taurus 92 9mm pistol was created to improve on the Beretta design.

The specially-designed drop hammer-forged ordnance-grade alloy frame won't crack or allow the slide to come off, and a three-position frame-mounted ambidextrous safety allows for a classic SA "cocked-and-locked" mode and also functions as a DA decocking lever.

The Taurus 92 is made with a drop hammer forged ordnance grade alloy frame which makes it fairly lightweight for it's size while retaining all of it's strength and rigidity.

Another great feature of the 92 is a three position frame mounted ambidextrous safety which functions more securely than a typical slide mounted safety.

This feature allows you to carry in a classic cocked and locked mode similar to a 1911, or you can utilize it as a decocker placing the firearm back into a double action mode.

With a 17 round magazine capacity, drift adjustable rear sight and accessory rail it's clear to see that the Taurus model 92 is head and shoulders above the competition.
