The M&P15-22 Sport features a 10" M&P slim Magpul M-LOK handguard which allows users to easily customize their weapon without removing the handguard. It includes a 2" M-LOK rail panel with each rifle, and removable Magpul MBUS front and rear folding sights. It has a 6-position CAR stock, functioning charging handle, shell deflector, and two-position, receiver-mounted safety lever.
This model M&P15-22 Sport has a matte black finish, 16.5" barrel with a muzzle brake, 10-round magazine, and is CA, CO, MD Compliant.

Prohibitive states suck
First of all, the muzzle brake is removed and the barrel comes untreated. The collapsible stock is pinned all the way out so young or small shooters may not be able to use it at all. The rie however is top notch, I have over 2k rounds through it, all brands, and ZERO malfunctions at ALL! Only cleaned once and runs like a champion. I am not as impressed with the HK416 .22, if you don't have CCI ammo, probably better you take the M&P with you.
