The Ruger Hawkeye FTW Hunter is engineered for precision and reliability, featuring a non-rotating, Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor, one of the most positive case extraction systems ever invented. Its fixed blade-type ejector ensures empty cases are positively ejected as the bolt moves fully rearward. The rifle boasts a hinged, solid-steel floorplate for easy unloading without chambering each cartridge, and an engraved FTW Hunter logo with a patented latch flush with the trigger guard to avoid accidental cartridge dumping.

Equipped with a 20 MOA Picatinny rail secured by four #8-40 screws, this firearm offers increased long-range elevation capabilities over traditional integral scope mounts machined directly on the solid-steel receiver. The three-position safety is easily accessible, allowing the shooter to lock the bolt or load and unload the rifle with the safety engaged. The Pro-Series H-S Precision tan-black speckled synthetic stock features a full-length aluminum bedding block and a slender pistol grip with Pro-Center technology for enhanced handling and stability.

The LC6 trigger provides smooth, crisp performance right out of the box, increasing accuracy on the range or in the field. A cold hammer-forged barrel results in ultra-precise rifling, delivering exceptional accuracy and longevity. The rugged, one-piece, stainless steel bolt and the Ruger Muzzle Brake System, which includes a removable radial-port muzzle brake, significantly reduce felt recoil. For times when the brake is not preferred, it can be replaced by the included dynamically-matched muzzle weight, without changing the bullet's point of impact for a particular load. The included thread protector can be used if neither the brake nor the weight is desired. Additional features include studs for mounting sling swivels, a stainless steel finish, bolt action, and a 22-inch barrel with a 1:10" twist.
