The Ruger AR-556 MPR rifle features a pistol-length gas system providing smoother operation and reduced felt recoil. The matte black oxide chrome-plated bolt carrier inside diameter and chrome-plated gas key inside diameter offer exceptional resistance to hot gases. The lower receiver is fitted with a Magpul MOE grip and a Ruger Elite 452 two-stage AR-trigger, delivering a smooth, crisp 4.5-pound trigger pull. The flattop upper receiver, made from forged aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum, includes a forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector, ensuring durability and enhanced functionality.

The free-floating handguard enhances accuracy and features Magpul M-LOK attachment slots at the 3, 6, and 9 positions. The threaded, cold hammer-forged, 4140 chrome-moly steel barrel with ultra-precise rifling ensures exceptional accuracy, longevity, and easy cleaning. The barrel also features M4 feed ramps for improved operational reliability and a matte black nitrided finish for corrosion resistance. The AR-556 MPR includes a Magpul MOE SL collapsible buttstock on the mil-spec buffer tube and comes with one magazine.

The metal finish is black hardcoat anodized, and the action is semi-auto, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO with an 18" barrel length and a capacity of 10+1. The Ruger Elite 452 trigger provides a superior shooting experience, complemented by a safety selector switch. The overall length ranges from 35" to 38.25", and the rifle is optic-ready with an adjustable Magpul SL stock. The barrel description is chrome moly with a twist rate of 1:8", and the stock finish group is black, making it a reliable and visually appealing firearm.
