At 5" tall with a barrel length of just under 4", the Compact model shaves a little more than 3/4" off the length and about 1/2" off the height of the full-size CZ 75. Its reduced size allows it to readily disappear under regular clothing. The CZ 75 DA/SA action with a manual safety lever provides the user with two options for carry: hammer-back with the safety on for single action operation or manually decocked for a double action first shot with no need to remember to take off the safety before firing. There is a safety stop on the hammer as well as a firing pin block safety. Because the 75 Compact retains the steel frame of the original 75, only 2.4 oz of weight is lost, making it the softest-shooting compact in the CZ 75 line.

CZ75 makes a poor shooter shoot good
I am a confirmed revolver guy, happily shooting my S&W 666 for years. Granted, for a short person, like me, carrying it concealed is nearly impossible. I fell in love with a S&W 3906 years ago, and sadly didn't buy one. Did buy another manufacturer's DA/SA 9mm and was sorely disappointed due to the polymer frame allowing far too much lift.
I purchased a CZ75 Compact, new, a few weeks ago, cleaned it and took it to the range. First 10 rounds at 7 yards, I scored 94. Amazing!
My only issue is a lack of a decocker on the steel frame model. The thumb safety is only operational if carrying 'cocked and locked', I like to carry hammer down with one in the pipe. The only way to decock this weapon is by holding onto the hammer, pulling the trigger and letting the hammer down on the half-cocked pawl. Loose your grip, and you have a very bad day.
If there was a decocker on my steel frame CZ75 Compact, I would give it 6-stars
