About BAKCOU

BAKCOU was founded in 2015 by Bryan Child and Dave Andre, two hunters and outdoor enthusiasts who saw a need for quiet, efficient access to backcountry hunting areas.

The company started as a garage-based operation in Layton, Utah, built with no investors and no formal business plan, just "grit, faith, and hustle."

BAKCOU has evolved from its humble beginnings to occupy a 38,000 square foot headquarters and established partnerships with major retailers like Scheels across 12 locations nationwide.

The company has carved out a specialized niche in the off-road electric bike market, becoming a prominent player specifically focused on hunting, fishing, and backcountry applications.

Today, BAKCOU remains committed to their three core principles: accessing remote areas with minimal wildlife disturbance, building the most durable yet affordable electric bikes, and serving sportsmen who want to explore more without environmental stress.
