One of the best 9mm defensive cartridges money can buy!
Velocity is high making for excellent expansion of bullet. Accuracy & consistency is also very good to excellent in most handguns. Some guns won't shoot straight with some ammo, so try another type brand or bullet weight like 124 grain. This is superb ammo! Massad Ayoob used this ammo 25-30 years ago, along with +P+ 115 grain. It still holds its own, today! I tried 147 grain, and went right back to 115-124 grain. I practice with 124 grain NATO which is close to +P enough that shooting defensive ammo does not feel that different from shooting range ammo. This disparity in recoil is why cop shops like the .40 S&W, or .45 ACP better than the 9mm Luger. I have no arguments against any of the three, or .357 Sig, for that matter. I stuck with 9mm Luger when everyone else jumped on the .40 bandwagon.

Old FBI +P+ service load
Great round, been using it for years. This was the FBI special load Federal developed for issue to agents and for awhile it was an LE only load and I used it in that capacity back in the early 90's. It's been putting down bad guys for a long time and it's a great defensive round. Its still my edc round.

Old Style
These are old style jhp bullets. They are screamers even from an XDs 9 short barrel however. Fairly low flash also. Got the job done for many years and still will if you do your part.
