Not what I had hoped for
The holster does not consistently hold the firearm in an appropriate position when carrying on the hip. In other words, having just the locating/securing point at the front of the holster allows the rear of the firearm to work it's way down into your pants, making access for a draw difficult if not impossible. Maybe I am doing it wrong - perhaps it would work better using an appendix carry, which I have not found to be comfortable while carrying for longer periods of time. Perhaps it is just an adjustment to IWB carry - I have carried OWB for many years with no difficulties.
It's not all bad news tho - the holster seems to be fairly well made - decent stitching and material.
Part two; I decided to try using this holster with a different firearm. Initially, I tried carry with a Sig P365XL - perhaps a bit much gun for this holster. Currently, there is a Smith & Wesson shield residing in the holster on my hip and it seems to be more suited to it than the Sig.
Part three - I have tried several different compact firearms in this holster and have found that carry of the more compact (as in shorter/thinner) firearms carry fairly well. I have tried S&W shield, Bersa thunder .380, Kel-Tec P-11, SCCY CPX-2, Taurus G2C and Glock 43. The S&W and the Glock carry the most comfortably. So far, this "testing" has just been around my home and office. The holster will get the full spectrum test using the Glock and Smith, but, darn it, I bought this to carry my Sig in! In that aspect I am disappointed.
I did raise my overall rating a bit, but can't really give the best rating to a holster that you have to take your pants loose to reholster the gun! (but then, I knew that when I ordered it.)
So - overall; OK. Fairly comfortable, good price and will suffice for a concealed carry holster on a casual basis.
