Good Gear, Good Results!
I've rated several products before because I think it's important to share our experiences. As my opener says good gear, good results. If you want good results when the need is vitally important, when you have to be willing to invest in good gear. Ammunition is no different! If I expect my mid sixties built Colt Detective Special to do its job when the results matter most, then I had better make sure I have fed it a reliable, effective round that has a track record for getting the job done! That is exactly what I've done with the Winchester brand, Ranger line, JHP Ammunition. In a .38 revolver, feeding isn't the issue, but burning clean, getting the bullet up to performance velocity and ejecting cleanly Is! That what I get with the Rangers. I look to save money on training ammo, never with ammo I'm trusting my or a loved ones life with! I'm not that cheap or reckless. Find a round that works well in your firearm, test it with at least 100 rounds, then relax and sleep the peaceful sleep of the prepared. Stay alert, stay prepared and stay alive!

Form research however, penetration and expansion characteristics would seemingly make this a good defense load out of shorter barrels. Not sure about accuracy yet.
