Product Details

Aguila Minishell Shotshells 12 Ga 1-3/4", 5/8OZ, No 1 & No 4 shot - 20 Round Box

These very short 12 gauge shells are great for practice or a fun day at the range. The short 1 3/4" size allows for almost double the capacity to fit inside a traditional tube-magazine. Winchester 1300 series shotguns cycle these minishells the best, but any pump-action shotgun should feed these just fine. They are filled with number 1 and number 4 shot, and have a lower recoil than regular 12 gauge shells would.

Fun to Shoot
These little shells are fun to shoot. They can do some damage, but with a lot less kick. Going to order some more of these.

Double barrel
We use a 12ga. coach gun as one of our home defense guns . Works great both inside and out. Moderate recoil with great Punch.

Great
Like the mini shells. Increases capacity of the pump shotgun. Work fine with the adapter.

Without the plastic adapter blocks, these won't feed in most autoloading shotguns. They are fun!
I do own ONE shotgun these feed normally & reliably in, and it's not the 1300. I have the 1300 too! You do your own research, or buy a 1300 or a Mossberg 500 and the adapter block. They do produce damage, but these seem like a heck of a good idea for indoor home defense. This is the ONLY "indoor defense round" I see for sale here. I prefer something like a #5 or even #4 B for indoors, but #7 will also inflict damage. These will NOT cycle a semi-auto. The Benelli selectable gun would work, IF you had an adapter for it. No one makes one to my knowledge, so these are kind of a Mossberg & Win 1300 only round, and a select few other guns that will chamber these reliably. These put out about .410 or maybe 28 ga type projectile groups, but at a reduced velocity. My Winchester 1300 is not the best at running these. There is "another", as the emperor said. With the little wedgie adapter piece the Mossberg 500 does quite well with these too. I tend to like 3" #4B, 2 3/4" #1B, but #00, #000, are a bit much inside a home. These mini shells are FUN! They just don't like to feed reliably in about any shotgun. They are also great for new shooters, and young shooters. Aguila's shot is old world drop tower shot! In fact, the Aguila factory is the old Remington Peters Mexican factory all my old Remington Peters shells came from back in the day. We lived in the southwest or close to it, all my life. Aguila needs to make some 2 1/2" black powder type loads for 12 ga. Aguila makes very nice shot. The Aguila powder is better than the old Remington Peters stuff. The brass is about the same.
