The Ridgeback Rifle stands out with its Bergara Premier action, a two-lug system featuring a separate floating bolt head that ensures precise contact with the lug abutments in the action. The cone-shaped bolt nose facilitates smooth cartridge feeding, while the spring-loaded sliding plate extractor, located in the front of the lower locking lug, enhances reliability. The one-piece bolt body, crafted from stainless steel, includes a pad at the rear for the threaded-in bolt handle. Durability is assured with the fully nitrided bolt head, non-rotating gas shield, bolt handle, and bolt shroud, which also offer self-lubricating properties. The two-position safety, integrated into the TriggerTech frictionless release technology, allows the rifle to be unloaded while in the safe position without locking the bolt handle.
