These 2-inch 12 gauge rounds create an extremely loud 182-decibel pop and can be used for a variety of roles from training, distractions, simulations, scaring off predators, alerting nearby neighbors or personnel, or any other jobs you can think of. A decibel rating of 182 is very loud and should be considered painful and dangerous, as OSHA states anything over 140 dB is the threshold of pain. For comparison, firing a standard velocity 22 LR from a standard rifle is about 140 dB, making these 182 dB "Boom" 12 gauge rounds extremely loud.

For use in unusual roles, these loud boom/distraction cartridges can be the perfect cartridges for certain odd jobs. Be careful using these, and avoid firing them at an indoor range if possible as the sound is far louder than even firing a 308 Winchester rifle indoors. You must use hearing protection when firing these rounds as they are well above the threshold for dangerous sound and will hurt your ears badly if you are not wearing ear pro!
