Apex Ammuntion Dove Stratified S3 Steel 20 Gauge 3" 1 oz 4/6 S3 Steel Shot

Apex Ammunition brings premium layered-shot technology to the marsh with the Stratified™ Waterfowl S3 Steel in 20 Gauge. Each 3" shell delivers a 1 oz dual-layer payload of #4 and #6 zinc-plated steel shot, engineered to produce tight, consistent patterns across a wider effective range band than traditional single-size steel loads. The larger #4 pellets drive hard-hitting knockdown power at distance, while the smaller #6 pellets densify the pattern for improved coverage at mid-to-close range — giving waterfowlers a lethal combination in a single shell.

Built on Apex's proven S3 (Steel Super Shot) platform, the Stratified line uses the same precision one-piece wad system found in Apex's celebrated TSS Turkey shells, delivering superior barrel protection and exceptional pattern consistency round after round. The zinc coating on each pellet reduces in-bore friction, helping preserve pellet roundness for more uniform downrange performance. Whether you're hunting ducks over decoys or pushing geese at the edge of range, the Apex Stratified 20 Gauge #4x#6 load is built to reduce crippling and put more birds in the boat. Customer-reported effective range is 40–50 yards with appropriate choke selection.
