The Wolf Arms A1 Piston Upper Receiver may be better known as the Taiwanese T91 upper receiver. These receivers are so compatible with American rifles due to the alliance that the Taiwanese military so strongly relies upon. Wolf is now importing these uppers to the United States where American-made barrels are applied to the Taiwanese made parts, creating a rugged, accurate, slick, military-grade piston-driven upper receiver that is available to American civilians at a very attractive price point. The only real difference the A1 has when compared against the original T91 is the missing bayonet lug, which helps shave off precious ounces anyway. This is not a front-heavy or overly complex upper receiver, unlike most piston-driven systems available for your AR15 in today's market. The uniquely handsome profile can be attributed to the handguard, which may remind you of the American M16A1 forend, with its long, tapered, clamshell design.
